09 abr I only have eyes for you!
The eyes are the windows of the soul, the proverb says.
If anybody asks you to keep an eye on something (or somebody), you ought to keep looking and paying attention to possible changes. “An eye for an eye” is an old saying in the name of revenge, paying back on the same level, magnitude or price. If you made eye contact, you saw the other person and the other person saw you. ‘It happened before my eyes’, means that it happened right in front of you. A satellite’s eye-view or a bird’s eye view is one from a privileged position. If you don’t see eye to eye with your boss, you disagree. If you are in the eye of the storm, you are in the most intense part of a tumultuous situation. If you only have eyes for blue, you only use that color. Now when people tell you, “Open up your eyes!”, you need to wake up for a situation that has been hidden from you and you must see.
